The Voer Valley has a hidden gem nestled in the middle of the woods and meadows, named Landgoed Altenbroek. This charming country estate is surrounded by ponds and is hidden behind a stately driveway lined with trees. Here you can find ultimate relaxation while you enjoy the beautiful environment and indulge in the French/Belgian cuisine of their fine-dining restaurant.
Hotel and Surroundings
Because the history of Landgoed Altenbroek dates back to 1300, you feel that this location is very authentic. Old elements are well preserved and cherished, giving the whole estate a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The domain of about 20 hectares contains three ponds and two natural springs. The water from the Sint Lambertus well is bottled and served to guests during their stay.
Rooms and Suites
The 43 rooms and suites all have their own unique look and feel with tasteful furnishings. Great importance is given to comfort, so every room has a high quality Swiss Sense bed and air conditioning. Rooms are spacious and have beautiful views over the lush green surroundings. There are no roads or other buildings in sight, so here you will find peace and tranquillity for a good night's sleep.
Nine types of packages are offered to suit various needs and interest of guests. There are for example Culinary, Hike & Bike and Wellness packages, and even packages that match the seasons or holidays.
Restaurant and Library Bar
The Library Bar is a cosy and stylish room to spend an our (or two) before or after dinner. It is the ideal spot to sink into a comfortable chair and enjoy an aperitif, digestif, cocktail or a good cup of coffee or tea.
Next to the Library Bar you will find the alluring restaurant in the former orangery. The high ceilings, tall windows, shimmering chandeliers and beautifully set tables will make your culinary evening extra memorable. Because the gastronomy with seasonal ingredients, matching wines and beautiful surroundings compliment each other perfectly.
A daily changing 3 or 4 course dinner is served (vegetarian is optional) upon reservation.
How to get to Landgoed Altenbroek
The hotel has a free parking lot and can be reached by car within:
- 20 minutes from Maastricht
- 30 minutes from Liège
- 45 minutes from Aachen or Heerlen
- 1 hour from Hasselt
- 1,5 hour from Eindhoven, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Brussels or Antwerp
